The Birth of the WR train and WR primer. More stadium talk. How many 20+ yard plays have the Bills given up. Bills salary cap rankings and 2027 cap situation. Pat MagaFee
You can choose to not count Keon’s TD as the first but I’ll take it over the Redskins’ Herb Mul-Key who ran the opening kickoff back to open Rich Stadium.
Speaking of Rich, when it opened in ‘73 much more fanfare was put on that preseason game then the regular season opener to the best of my knowledge. The fans got a “I was there” card and Pete Rozelle presented this silver plate to Ralph Wilson in a pregame ceremony.
Like you said the Lions game will get all the national attention, but I can’t shake the thought if you include the practices it’s like the 5th event at the stadium.
That graphic with the Bills dead last drafting WRs is pretty shocking. A real organizational failure. It is almost criminal how poorly Beane et al has managed the WR position until they were absolutely forced to trade for Moore this offseason. I am sure Beane would point to the Diggs trade as a rebuttal. But then he traded him away with no back up plan.
Years from now it would be interesting for a reporter to find out why the Bills were so reluctant to draft WRs early in Allen’s career. Sure you have other needs, but you also have to look at history. With a few exceptions, Superbowl winning teams generally have a great quarterback AND #1 wide receiver. Just last year the Seahawks had the best wide receiver in the league, for example. What made the Bills think they were any different?
Hahaha love Baxter!

Preseason should never count.

They never wanted their WRs to pay their dues and instead were signing very mid free agents. Hopefully Moore gets them over the top
Great article-of course if the bills do lousy this year, you know whose fault it is, Biden’s of course, lol
I’m thinking 77 million people voted for this dumb MF -yikes
It’s more shocking than 13 seconds
