I had no idea 90s Yonge Street was a magnet for Buffalo teens looking for fake IDs! Yonge Street back then was Toronto’s armpit. It hasn’t improved much over the years but is a lot more touristy than it used to be. Of course, Yonge Street was always a magnet for seedy fun not unlike old Times Square.
I think you mean the Eaton’s Centre. It is still there and is basically as it was in the 90s. Oddly, it still serves the same function as it did in 90s as an unofficial gathering spot for suburban kids.
However, a lot of the shops and attractions that made Yonge Street fun are mostly gone as real estate values increased. There are also a lot more people living in that area than there used to be with all the condos have went up in the past 20 years.
Sorry about your Browns. At least you had Cavs title. And yeah, I’d say as of right now Allen is best QB based on last year. But we all know that can change. Now in terms of resume, it’s Mahomes
Complicated story, but the Cavs title did nothing for me as a fellow Davidson College sports alum with Stephen Curry, who has always been so kind and gracious to my kids.
I never had a strong Cavs fandom growing up really, as the Cavs didn’t exist when my parents were growing sports fans. They were Celtics fans because of Ohio State’s John Havlicek, which they kind of passed on to me.
Way more to the story, but the Cavs winning was not a thing I celebrated, so I’m still waiting for my personal hometown Cleveland area championship celebration.
It’s been a long and extremely frustrating wait, because I’m a huge Browns and Indians fan.
As for Allen, I repeatedly was pounding the table for the Browns to draft him that year they took Baker.
They didn’t listen to me! 😂
I’m not basing my assessment on resume, just on who I think is the best QB in the NFL. Football is the ultimate team game, and I suspect if Tyreek Hill, Travis Kelce, et al had switched teams to Buffalo, Allen would have those rings, not Mahomes.
No! He’s thinking of face who worked with me! Face first name was also Joe. tell Mike…me and my sister always wonder where he is these days. Tell him to email me joepinzone80@gmail.com

I remember that giant mall on that street

As a Browns fan, all we can do is continue to look on jealously as everyone else at least sometimes has a QB in the conversation.
Btw, as someone with no inherent bias because my team has no dog in the hunt, I say Josh Allen IS the best QB in the NFL right now.

I get that with Cavs.
My brother is tight with Mike H.K., I passed this post along. He said they called you “Face”. I loved this story
