To expand on your Breaking Bad analogy, I would argue Diggs could also be thought of as a Tuco. Tuco was a good starter drug lord for Jesse and Walt. He introduced them to the industry and helped them learn what not to do and to be careful with whom you do business.
Similarly, Diggs helped Allen learn how to handle (or not handle) the intricacies of dealing with an alpha WR. That relationship went south but it also became apparent that a good drug lord (or alpha WR) is hard to find. So hopefully Beane and Brady learned you can't just say we don't need a Tuco anymore. You need to find a stable Mike, preferably younger with more years left of prime drug dealing.
Do the Bills have a Josh Allen bros problem? No problem with McGovern sticking around. But potentially extending Knox and brining back Kyle Allen feels like Beane et al trying to constantly keep Allen surrounded by his buddies. When Allen’s relationship with Diggs went south, Beane couldn’t wait to show him the door although it turned out they could still have used Diggs. The franchise should ideally not be run around whomever Allen likes to spend his free time with.
